The Georgia Association of Physicians for Human Rights (GAPHR) is an association of physicians and medical students dedicated to the elimination of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation in medicine, and to the delivery of supportive, unprejudiced, and well informed medical care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered patients.

	GAPHR provides information to health care providers and the community about medical issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people.
	GAPHR provides support for lesbian, gay, and bisexual physicians, residents, and medical students who are at all stages of coping with their sexuality and professional identity.
	GAPHR educates our physician colleagues about the unique medical care needs and dilemmas of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered patients.
